Dr. Li Ziyu specializes in standardized, minimally invasive, and personalized treatment of gastrointestinal (GI) tumors, with special interests in comprehensive perioperative management and advanced laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer gastric cancer.
As a recognized leader in the field, Dr. Li holds several distinguished professional appointments, including Vice President, Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA); Chair of Surgical Safety and Quality Control Society, CACA; Vice Chair of Chinese Gastric Cancer Association; Head of the Oncology Surgery Expert Group, Chinese College of Surgeons, Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA); Member of the GI Surgery Group, Chinese Society of Surgery, Chinese Medical Association (CMA); and Vice Chair of Beijing Medical Doctor Association and Beijing Association of Oncology.
In 2019, he received the “Honoring Life · Glorious Healers” Golden Lancet Award, jointly presented by Global Times and Life Times. He has authored or co-authored over 100 SCI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author. Dr. Li has led multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and various provincial-level initiatives. He also served as the editor-in-chief of Notes on Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Notes and Laparoscopic Surgery for Gastric Cancer: Challenges and Strategies.
